As a free service, the Angelina County Jail offers fingerprint services to the public from 09:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. every Friday.


The Angelina County Jail does not release court appearance information. To inquire about an inmate’s court appearance, contact the inmate’s attorney accordingly.

Inmate Phone Account – You may add funds to your phone number or an inmate’s phone account from the website, or you may add funds by using the VendEngine Kiosk in the lobby of the jail.

Applications for religious services volunteer program may be requested from the Assistant Warden by calling 936-634-3331, Option 1.

No, furloughs are not granted.

Prescription Only glasses with a plastic frame may be brought to the inmate, and be subject to inspection by the Medical Staff. Prescription only contacts may be brought to an inmate, subject to inspection by the Medical Staff. Contact solution may only be brought in a new, unopened container.

Inmates can release property to a person designated by the inmate, whose identity will be verified by their government issued ID. The inmate must voluntarily release the property by filling out an Inmate Property Release Form that will be signed by both parties and witnessed by an officer. Property release times may be delayed during certain hours of the day (i.e. lunch, visitation, etc..)

No property will be accepted for inmates.

Contact the investigator assigned to your case. The phone number should be located on the case card you received. You may also use the phone directory in the Lobby of the Sheriff’s Office to call the investigator on your case.

At the Sheriff’s Office, dial the corresponding # on the phone in the lobby as indicated by the phone directory.

If you have an emergency, please call 9-1-1. If you have a non-emergency, and live outside of the city limits of Lufkin, Huntington, Hudson, Zavalla, or Diboll, call 936-634-3331 and use Option 2.
